The "One"

Why are so many people so fixated in finding love? Desperately looking for THE one? Can't they just love themselves, focus on themselves? Isn't that enough anymore. I don't understand why so many young people want love so bad when they have a whole life ahead of themselves, or why do they believe that somehow sex is the ultimate alternative to feel close to someone, and bring someone closer to you--it's just sex. Why compromise your freedom, your friends, your nights out, your "i don't feel like texting back" days, and overall, your personal life.
